S.D. Skye's Hell or High Water 365-Day Blog-athon Day 50 - Anything Goes Sunday

Can you believe it's day 50 already??? I'm not sure I've done anything for 50 days in a row except write and be a mom.

Only 315 days left of my daily pontifications.

So, I don't have a lot for you today. I'm SO busy over the next few weeks getting my rebranding together. It really requires a lot of work.

I was talking to one of my writer friends and one of the reasons I'm undergoing this change in titles in covers is...well, it's a silly reason really. I didn't embrace my books as true spy thrillers when I first started writing them. In my mind, I told my self that "I" don't write spy thrillers. They are more romance, romantic suspense when in fact all of my readers keep telling me they are spy thrillers. My author friend told me she reads them because she's an old school Clancy fan which never ceases to amaze me.

Me? Writing books that fans of Clancy read? I mean, that's incredible but it's exactly what I wanted to do when I challenged myself to write the series. And with each book I take on a different task that takes me out of my comfort zone. Rebranding these as true spy thrillers is REALLY taking me out of my comfort zone, but I'm up for the challenge.

So, anyway, I am hoping to reveal cover #1 this week--so stay tuned. If it's not for Marketing Tuesday. Then it may be ready for next Sunday.  In the meantime, all of the books are going through another round of editing/proofreading.

Don't worry, if you've bought the Kindle copy, as long as you set your Kindle Automatic Book Update to "On" you will automatically get the edited text and new covers. If you need to figure out how to do that, just go to your Kindle settings and look for the below.

This is going to be my life for the next 3-4 weeks until all the work is done. All the books are uploaded. All the blogs, websites, and social networks are updated.

So you're going to be sick of hearing about this by the time it's all over. Hopefully, I'll come up with some great tips and ideas to share. Right now, my biggest piece of advice is figure this shit out before you get started. The change will be worth it...but WOO it's a doozie of an effort.

Stop by tomorrow for Motivation Monday!
